Interim update TB Twin Tunnel ProjectDear Residents,
We would like to share an update on the recent developments related to the Thane-Borivali Twin Tunnel Project and our demand of UNDERGROUND till Uniabex company.
1. A correspondence was being made for the last 1 year without any response from MMRDA, with continuation to which a silent protest was successfully conducted on 12th April 2025.
2. This was followed by a meeting with MMRDA officials on 19th April 2025 at Ananta Banquet, wherein 500 to 600 residents of Mulla Baugh community attended, in the presence of our MP Shri Naresh Mhaskeji
3. Subsequently, MMRDA has issued a formal response to the letters submitted by the Residents of Mulla Baug on 5th March and its follow-up communication on 22nd May 2025.
4. A Project Affected People (PAP) Core Committee has now been formally constituted. A letter confirming this has been submitted to MMRDA and Hon. MP Shri Naresh Mhaske.
5. In parallel, Mr. Rakesh Modi is leveraging his network to facilitate a meeting with MMRDA Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee. He had arranged a meeting with MMRDA on 29 April 2025 but got canceled due to uncertain reasons. We submitted a copy of our demands to the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Eknath Ji Shinde, sir, which he directed to MMRDA for proper action
6. The Core Committee is currently studying and preparing a detailed response to MMRDA’s letter, which they submitted to each society after the meeting at Ananta Banquet.
