In light of the recent Supreme Court stay on various projects awarded to Megha Engineering, a few of us representing the project-affected community had the opportunity to meet Dr. Jitendra Awhad through his close associate, Mr. Umesh Agarwal. This meeting was pivotal in reiterating our longstanding concerns and seeking political intervention. Over time, we have approached various influential individuals in hopes of garnering support for the Project Affected Persons (PAP), aiming to ensure that our voices are heard and our rights safeguarded. The meeting aimed at drawing attention to the environmental, social, and urban planning issues surrounding the project, while also seeking Dr. Awhad’s support in amplifying our voices within the legislative and political discourse.
The engagement today is part of a broader movement to ensure that people's voices are not sidelined in the name of development.
