🤝🏽 Meeting with MMRDA : 20-05-2025

The core team met with the engineers of MMRDA on 20th of May. 

Outcome of the meeting:-

1. Viable options for the extension of the underground approach to Uniabex will be presented on 15th of June 
2. The muck disposal proposal presented by the residents will be implemented ASAP.

UPDATE ON MMRDA MEETING – TB Twin Tunnel Project 20th May 2025

A very constructive meeting was held today 20th May with the engineers of MMRDA and its sub contractors regarding the TB Twin Tunnel project.

We discussed in length about 

1. Approach road towards the entry and exit of the tunnel to be underground. 

2. Muck disposal transport draft plan is not accepted.

3. The health impact due to increasing pollution levels caused by TB Tunnel construction activities.

They briefed us on the various options explored for extending the underground approach road up to Uniabex. A feasible option will be finalized and shared with us by 30th June. Core technical people from PAP (Project Affected People) will work closely with MMRDA and its contractor on above 2 major points (Underground extension and Muck disposal transport route)

We also had the opportunity to meet the MMRDA Commissioner, Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, who has instructed his team to expedite the process and present the extension option by 15th June instead. He has further directed them to evaluate and implement the muck disposal solution proposed by us at the earliest taking into consideration all environmental norms.
