After last month’s meeting with MMRDA officials left many of us disappointed—marked by a lack of responsiveness to our letters and an absence of consistent communication—some residents decided it was time to act.
On April 11, a message began circulating in our community:
π£ Dear Mulla Baug Residents,
Despite multiple discussions with MMRDA and Megha Engineering, there’s been no clear response on the key issues we’ve raised. Work continues without resolution. We’re organizing a peaceful community gathering on Saturday, April 12 at 10:30 AM to jointly ask for transparency and demand an underground option.
Let’s come together and be heard.
Your presence matters — let’s stand united for our neighborhood.
Abhi nahi toh kabhi nahi!
And today, April 12, we saw exactly that: residents, families, concerned individuals—gathered with calm determination and a shared purpose.
It wasn’t about confrontation. It was about being visible. Being present. Showing that we care about how decisions are made in our name.
πΈ Check out the moments below. (And if you missed this one—don’t worry. This isn’t the end. It’s just another beginning).
There is strength in numbers! |
Bird's eye view |
Today’s gathering was just one step, but it reminded us that we’re not powerless.
Transparency, accountability, and clean air are not abstract concepts—they begin with people showing up.
If you’d like to be part of future efforts or simply stay updated, you’re welcome here.
