👥 Residents Unite #5: Meeting with MMRDA, MP Mhaske (19-04-2025)

 On April 19, 2025 - a meeting between the residents of Neelkanth Woods, Cosmos Lounge, Neelkanth Greens and Satyashankar and MMRDA, chaired by MP Naresh Mhaske saw a unanimous agreement on demand for the extension of the underground tunnel till Uniabex Company. 

Representatives of different buildings stood together, united, in voicing out their concerns and request to consider residents' health, safety and well-being into consideration.

Mhaske काही विरोध नाहीये त्यांच्या सोसायट्यांसमोरचा जो रस्ता आहे, तो रस्ता कुठेतरी संपुष्टात येणार आहे. त्यांना खूप त्याचा त्रास होणार आहे. त्याचा जो एंट्रीपॉइंट आहे, जो अंडरग्राउंड हा विषय लोकांमध्ये चुकीच्या पद्धतीने, टनलला, टनलला कोणाचाही विरोध नाहीये. विरोध आहे तो जो समोरचो जो त्याला जो जॉइंट होणार, रस्ता कुठून स्टार्ट होणार, अप्रोच रोडचा जो विषय आहे त्याविषयी आम्ही चर्चा करतोय. आता या ठिकाणी बैठक झालेली आहे. नागरिकांनी काही मार्ग सुचवलेले आहेत. ते मार्ग त्या अधिकाऱ्यांना आम्ही इंप्लिमेंटच्या दृष्टीने, त्यांना निर्देश दिलेले आहेत. आयआयटी असेल, त्यांचे काही एक्सपर्टस असेल, त्यांच्याशी चर्चा करून हा निर्णय घेण्याचा आम्ही प्रामाणिकपणे प्रयत्न करतोय. टनलला कोणाचा विरोध नाही, अप्रोच रोडला विरोध आहे. शेवटी बघा, हजारो लाखो लोकांचा फायदा होणार आहे परंतु त्या ठिकाणी राहणाऱ्या लोकांना सुद्धा अडचणी निर्माण होऊ नये, त्यांचं सुद्धा जनजीवन, जे जगणं आहे ते मुश्कील होऊ नये, हे त्यांचं म्हणनं आहे अन् ते म्हणनं रास्त आहे. सर वृक्षारोपण बाबत काय आहे? Mhaske

बघा रस्त्यामध्ये येणारे काही जे वृक्ष आहेत त्याचं रिप्लांटेशन सुरुवातीच्या काळामध्ये चुकीच्या पद्धतीने चाललंय, लक्ष दिलं नव्हतं. पण मार्चमध्ये आमची या आवरती बैठक झाली. त्यानुसार ज्या ठिकाणी एमएमआरडीए वृक्षारोपण करणारे आहे, त्याव्यतिरिक्त जर या ठिकाणी असणाऱ्या आजूबाजूच्या सोसायटीज आहेत, त्यांनी जर परवानगी दिली, त्यांनी जर जागा उपलब्ध करून दिली तर ते सगळे वृक्ष त्या त्या सोसायट्यांमध्ये रिप्लांट एमएमआरडीए स्वतःच्या खर्चाने करेल.

Translation : 

• Residents are NOT AGAINST or OPPOSING the construction of the tunnel
• Residents are raising a problem with the entry/exit point of the tunnel that will create a lot of suffering and problems for the residents in the coming future. 
• Residents are aware and appreciate that tunnel is going to be beneficial to many people - however, it is coming at the cost of the existing residents' health and safety. 
• Regarding the trees, they were improperly cut unbeknown to the residents. However, after having periodic meetings with MMRDA and MP Mhaske, if the societies can and will allow space to replant trees, MMRDA will do so at their own expense.

🤝🏽 Meeting with MMRDA re-scheduled : 17-04-2025

After cancelling 15th April's meeting, MMRDA have rescheduled it to 19th April at Ananta Banquets between 11 AM and 1 PM

Following the protest held on April 12, 2025, the residents of Mulla Bag organized a meeting with MMRDA officials. The meeting was scheduled for April 15, 2025, at 5.00 PM, in the clubhouse of Cosmos Lounge.
